Johnny's West is debuting as a SEVEN UNIT GROUP! Yes you read it right! It's Johnny's West, not Johnny's West 4! And it's 7 people, not 4. (I had a feeling that it wasn't going to be a 4 unit group...even though I didn't write about it, I secretly thought that something wasn't right about West 4). I'm sure the fans must be super happy about this news and now I'm even more excited about their debut CD.....because lately I think I'm turning into an 8er and I can't wait to see how a kansai group will change things up~

I'm ready to become a West-er? I don't know the name for JW fans yet... lol. (; o ;)

There aren't too many dramas I'm watching right now.....Actually if you count the ones I'm watching on a regular basis, it's just 1. Lol, nothing catches my eye or interests me enough. I tried watching Matsujun's Shitsuren Chocolatier BUT OH MY GOD, I have so many things to complain  say about that drama. Let's just say Sota's 180 degrees character and Saeko's I-can-toy-with-you attitude is the main issue.

But as many complaints that I have, I also have lots of good things to say.

• Shige is so hot.
• Ken Arai composed the soundtrack. When I heard that electronic beat, I had an inkling it was him. Discovered him from Ohno's Kagi no Kakatta Heya and his distinctive style made a big impact! 
• Chocolate....I want to eat fancy chocolate.
• Did I mention Shige is so hot?

I haven't gotten a chance to fully appreciate HSJ's new single yet but from what I've seen or quickly glanced...the PVs look amazing. Especially Happy Life...It's like Coamh with an extra shot of happiness and rainbows. I'm glad that HSJ got a double single because it means more material to fan over.

Honestly, I don't really like it. But my opinion doesn't matter, it's his hair. Though I am happy that he's got lots of attention from his blonde debut. I'm glad more people are noticing him! And that's all I have to say about his hair for now.

In other news, Hikanoo's drama isn't doing well in terms of ratings. Tokyohive's drama report shows a rating of 0.5%. That isn't good. It's terrible. I'm wondering if it's due to the plot. Even when the summary came out, I was unsure of the plot and whether it would translate well from script into screen. I'll wait for the subbed episodes, then decide if it's really that bad...'Cause ratings aren't everything.

Also, I had a dream about Bakaleya 6.....It was so weird but awesome? Haha.
I was walking with Chinen, which is already pretty weird. He was so chill, it was like we were old buddies. Then he told me that there was a group that going to debut soon. So I immediately went into my B6 fan mode. I asked him if it was the boys from Bakaleya. He said he didn't want them to debut and then my hopes were crushed and I woke up. The end.

Platinum Blonde Inoo and his 10,000 Character Interview

OK SO THE RUMOURS ARE IN (again)! This time, fans said that Inoo has dyed his hair WHITE or GRAY or LIGHT BLONDE. At least we have a colour range this time. There's something about a mature hair colour and a fresh young face that makes for a cool contrast. 

Look at my extremely bad attempt at trying to create a picture of white-gray-blonde haired Inoo. (People you should know my paint skills are only at a certain level, lol). Well, you get the idea.. Sort of. =P 

And apparently Yama has blonde hair?! This is the perfect cue to bring back an old pic.

 YES?! I'm kind of super excited for this. Rumours say that it's curly too.. I don't dig the perm on Yama-chan but I hope his hair's still healthy after all this damage.

Moving on, Have you read Inoo's 10000 letter interview? I was looking forward to this so much. Inoo opened up about a lot of things. He talked about his loneliness in high school, shortcomings of being a good son, and frustrations of being a junior.

I'm sure many people can relate to his high school experiences. Even though I had friends in high school, I never felt close to them or rather I never really opened myself to them. I tried to be someone I wasn't and that caused lots of misunderstandings. TuT In several magazine interviews last year, Inoo talked a lot about his university experiences and his uni friends. It makes me happy to know he's finally got that place outside of Johnny's he's wanted.

And not just that, but Inoo kind of covered what Chinen brought up: even though they might be in the entertainment business, they have insecurities and hardships that people outside the industry will experience. Everyone struggles to find their place, their friends,and their identity. Which brings me to another thing...when people talk about the entertainment industry, the idea of two worlds comes to mind: the celebrity world and the other world, which fans and other people live in. It's come to my realization that this is just due to the different situations (like appearing more in the media and so on) which create this barrier. There aren't really two worlds, just one.

Inoo talked about how he'd get angry at his parents but they were still there for him. I'm glad he has this great support. :D Also, the fact that Inoo just barely made it into Hey! Say! Jump is a miracle. Just watching kids eat food on tv or talking to the president at the right time is a miracle. It's weird how little coincidences can snowball and result in a future we couldn't once imagine. But that's not to understate Inoo's hard work.

I'm looking forward to seeing new sides of Inoo (not just his new hair colour, lol). :)

Inoo's Rumoured New Hair Colour + Aino Arika Covers + Deep Thoughts about HSJ

HELLO WORLD! I'm not very good at updating on a regular basis...Ahahah, I'm sorry about that. But there's something more important than that. Apparently Inoo has dyed his hair?! The Inoo who hasn't dyed his hair...like ever at least not to my knowledge! (That time when he failed at dying his hair red doesn't count!)

What can I say? I'm so interested in his choice of hair colour. Personally I think he will go for something dark because dark colours don't need as much care(?) Anyways whether he dyes it gray or white or blue or green, he'd still be that lovable idiot. This is just a rumour, so the next time we have pics of Inoo, his hair might still be black. XD

I have a lot of words to say but the nicest thing I could say  is that they could do better. (I'm sorry to those who like them but I really can't get into them). At least Inoo and Hikaru get some centre-ish shots. I ain't a fan of the plaid suits or the 2003 Microsoft banner look.


I'm going to laid out some thoughts.  Actually you may think I'm lazy (since I hardly update), but that's just part of the reason (lol). Another reason is that I'm been distracted by Johnny's too much. I'm always thinking things like what's the point of idols?, do they really want to be idols for the rest of their lives?, etc.

I feel kind of relieved after reading Chinen's 1000 word interview. (Read over at inluvwithhsj's tumblr)

When I read Arioka's, I got worried because being an idol takes away a lot of things. You don't really get that time to find yourself. So lately I've been worrying if some of Johnny's really enjoy being idols. (Of course they wouldn't have stuck with it so long if they didn't enjoy it but people change and once you've debut, isn't it harder to say "Sorry guys, I'm not up for it anymore".) Chinen's so sure that his place is with JE and it reassures me. If Johnnys didn't like performing, dancing, singing or whatnot, they wouldn't have gone to the dance lessons, or try to find new talents to make themselves stand out, or go to karaoke alone to practice singing or enroll in special schools or do many other things. Which is why I believe in them. Even though they are kind of a manufactured product catered to consumers, they still retain something special that makes millions of people reach out to them. When they can't believe in themselves, they should at least believe in their fans who believe in them. (Where am I going with this?! Sorry, I'm not making sense.)

Point is I should stop over-worrying about them. XD

Something I've noticed over the year is more and more blogs are becoming inactive. Other things like rl and school take priority. That and maintaining blogs and communities are really hard. I really will miss them and it's made me realize over and over again how important fan's participation in online forums, blogs, and other mediums are when dealing with an international fandom. It makes me kind of sad to see less fans participating, (online at least). T_T And I shouldn't even say that because it's not like I update things on a regular basis.  But I've complied a list of some sites dedicated to translating HSJ stuff.

Johnny's West 4 Debut + JE goes BL...

There were rumours floating around this year that a Kansai group would debut and now we know it's official.

Johnny's West 4 includes Kiriyama Akito, Nakama Junta, Shigeoka Daiki and Kotaki Nozomu. I read the news from Kansai Juniors Livejournal. It was announced at the Countdown concert and I'm sure that newspapers and other sites will cover this story very soon. To be frank, I'm not too familiar with most Kansai juniors. But I'm somewhat happy that Kiriyama and Nakama got to debut. B.A.D.'s been around for a while well many juniors have.

Congratulations to JW4! (that's the nickname I've given them) However, I'm concerned about many other things like

• What is up with the name? I should be used to Johnny's name creating antics by now but...No he still surprises me.
• What's going to happen to the other 7 West members, Fujii Ryusei and Tomohiro Kamiyama?
• Are they going to go the A.B.C.-z route with limited releases or are they going to get super-exposed route like Kis-My-Ft2 or a completely different route?

That aside, I'm actually looking forward to them. If they peak my interest enough, it means there's going to be another group I'll follow! :D

Ok now that's the official update is out of the way, have you seen the special SZ + Jr's BL tv special? Whoa, it is just....I can't even put it into words right now. JE's fulfilling many fans' dreams with this special.

Kento was so funny, I loved his facial expressions. I cracked up when I saw Uchi's "I heard my name, were you talking about me?" face. I can't say much about Marius' acting but I can say that I never realized how likable the Jesse/Kento pairing is. This special was pretty enjoyable. 

Ride With Me Making Of Commentary

After seeing the short pv of RwM I was preparing myself for the worst. I had no confidence that I could watch the full pv without screaming or arm flailing or sobbing  tearing up. Yup, I was right. I was a hot mess and then Inoo had his solo shot and I became a hot blob of feels. I'm absolutely sold that this PV was flawless. Maybe I should have given the Best PV award to RwM...(I didn't see the full pv before that post, so it wouldn't be fair to give it to them.)

So before I saw the making of, I knew that I was heading towards a feels danger zone.  Everybody looked so good and their dancing was so cool and the set design was awesome. XD

KEITO, YOUR HOTNESS IS SHOWING. It's always showing but this is too extreme. I can't deal with your beautiful hair and your unbuttoned shirt and your rolled up sleeves. Someone hold me while I cry because of his beauty. 

Ugh, Chinen. I love your new hair and your smile and just you in general. Already 20 years old and you're looking so good. 

Hikaru's probably thinking of making up for that time when he bullied  teased Keito during Jumparty 3. Hikaru was all over Keito. AHHHHH STOP IT YOU TWO, I ALREADY HAVE WAY TOO MANY SHIPS. Also, Hika's hands are so pretty. Many people say his hands are too skinny and his bones are showing but I love them! The way they're shaped after practicing bass too much....^^ 

There were way too many good points in this video. One of things I noticed was that Takaki and Yama were looking especially tired  I felt bad that they were so sleepy. Get some good rest, boys! But their solo dances were the best, in my opinion. Their moves were sharper and more expressive. XD

Overall, I felt like this was a good behind the scenes. The shooting was long but it was worth it! When the subs come out, I'll enjoy this even more~
